HBO canceled HBO Now's support for Apple's second and third generation of Apple TV. HBO announced in April that it would terminate its support for old Apple TV on April 30, but it did not officially cancel it until last week.

It is reported that the second generation of Apple TV appeared at the apple press conference on September 1, 2010, and the third generation was released in March 2012. At present, Apple has listed these two products as "outdated" products, even the third generation of Apple TV has been shut down at the end of 2016.

Apple TV update: tvOS 13.4.5

According to the latest information, Apple may update Apple TV (4K) at any time. The new Apple TV 4K will use A12X chip, with 64GB and 128GB versions, code named T1125.

Apple releases tvOS 13.4.5 update for 4th / 5th generation Apple TV

Apple today (May 21) released tvOS 13.4.5, the fourth major update to the tvOS operating system running on the fourth and fifth generation Apple TV models.

Users can now download the free update of "tvOS 13.4.5" by OTA through the "Settings" app on Apple TV, by entering "system > software update". Apple TV users with automatic software update enabled will automatically upgrade to the latest tvOS 13.4.5.

The function of tvOS update is always relatively less. It mainly focuses on the internal error repair and small function adjustment of the system, rather than major external changes.

During beta testing, we didn't see any new user facing features, so it's not clear what's new in the update. Apple will share details about the tvos 13.4.5 update in its tvos support documentation, but the update notes usually only show improvements in overall performance and stability.

If you also have fourth and fifth generation Apple TV, you may want to update to the latest version.
