Developers Motion Twin and Evil Empire announced that cumulative sales of Dead Cell have exceeded 3 million units. The game's 19th important update "Update of Plenty" is now available on PC, and the console version will be online in the coming weeks.

Death Cell was initially released in May 2017 and landed on the Steam Early Access Experience. It was officially released in August 2018 and landed on Steam, PS4 and Xbox One. It landed on Apple iOS in August 2019 and Google Play on Android in June 2020.

The Steam version of Death Cell supports Simplified Chinese and Chinese dubbing, and has received a "praise rave" review. The current game is being promoted in Steam, the original price is 80 yuan, the current price is 48 yuan, and the discount is 40%. This promotion ends on July 10.
