The new production from Asobo studio and Xbox Game Studios will soon arrive on PC. Microsoft has just announced on Twitter the release of the highly anticipated Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 . The flight simulation will be available on August 18, 2020 and only for PC players. The Xbox version of the title should arrive later, without having a shooting window for its release.

Details of the different versions of the game have also been communicated, and a physical version will be available for purchase.

It only remains for us to take our pain in patience, and wait for the release of the title. Hopefully it will show up again during the Xbox conference on July 23 at 9:00 a.m.

Flight Simulator will integrate the Xbox Game Pass PC on August 18!

38 years have already passed since the very first release of Microsoft Flight Simulator, in 1982, and over time, the community has shown its support and passion for the developers of the series. We knew it was time to develop a new generation version of Microsoft Flight Simulator. We benefit from the best tools and partners, the technology and the power of our machines to offer the most realistic, most authentic flight simulator ever created. Here are some examples of what you can expect in Microsoft Flight Simulator:

  • Lush and detailed landscapes - Rediscover an immense and magnificent world: our planet and its riches. Fly over more than 1.5 billion buildings, 2 billion billion trees, mountains, roads, rivers, and more.
  • A living world - The Earth lives, it changes constantly and the world of Microsoft Flight Simulator does the same by displaying road traffic, real-time weather and animals.
  • Planes rich in detail - Exercise your piloting skills at the controls of various planes ranging from the lightest to aircraft designed for commercial flights. Each of them has its detailed cockpit which is faithful to reality.
  • A new checklist system - Beginners as well as experienced pilots can continue to progress and configure the commands as they see fit. From full manual steering to full assistance, which includes highlighting the on-board instruments and the checklist.
  • Dynamic weather - The new dedicated weather engine activates "real-time weather" mode, which includes wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity, rain and more.
  • New engine for the day / night cycle - Fly day and night, whatever the season, and discover navigation under visual flight rules (VFR) at night.
  • Aerodynamic modeling - Take advantage of a state-of-the-art physics engine taking into account more than 1,000 different surfaces per plane and allowing to obtain a fully realistic experience.
