As more people use 5G technology, global cellular data has begun to pick up speed, with 5G technology offering faster connection speeds and lower network latency almost everywhere.

A new report from OpenSignal, a UK-based data crowdsourcing company, shows that global data connection speeds have increased as 5G technology begins its widespread rollout in late 2019.

Among them, South Korea has seen a significant increase in download speeds. Thanks to this, South Korea is ranked as the best place in the world to play online based on the fastest Internet speed. In addition, people in Canada also enjoyed a significant increase in Internet speeds, with the average speed rising from 42.5Mbps to 64.1Mbps, while Internet users in the UK saw an increase from 21.7Mbps to 39.7Mbps.

Americans ranked dead last in the report for 5G Internet speeds, which only increased from 21.3Mbps to 37Mbps.

OpenSource reminds readers that 5G technology is still in its infancy and that network services are bound to continue to improve over time, just as 4G technology did before it.

Currently, iPhone 13 and the fifth-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro, third-generation 11-inch iPad Pro and sixth-generation iPad Mini all work on 5G networks.
