Recently, Google finally released the sales of the new Pixel Buds real wireless earbuds, which is expected to lead the Android camp to launch a stronger attack on apple AirPods while repairing the defects of the original product. Pixel Buds' true wireless headphones were unveiled by Google along with the Pixel 4 series of smartphones last October. It focuses on easy matching and stable connection, and the back end USES an upgraded version of "Fast Pair", the Android bluetooth Fast matching system.

Users can use Android 6.0 or later devices. Just open the charging storage box of Pixel Buds nearby, and a quick matching dialog box will pop up on the mobile device end, supplemented by the battery display of earbuds and charging storage box.

In addition, Android 10 devices get the additional ability to "find my device" and link to the Google Assistant intelligent voice Assistant.

Android also pops up notifications when you need to charge your phone to remind you if you've misplaced it and even make one of your earbuds make a sound.

In terms of audio, each Pixel Buds is integrated with a beamforming microphone and sensor, which can better isolate the ambient sound when the user speaks, and automatically adjust the volume according to the external noise (for example, temporarily raise the volume to cope with the large noise, and then automatically reduce the volume).

Pixel Buds can easily summon the Google Assistant intelligent voice Assistant via "Hey, Google," as well as real-time language translation with Google Translate (which leads to the split-screen UI on the Android phone).

Not all Android devices have a full functional experience, though. Google Assistant or Google Translate, for example, require a device with bluetooth 4.0 or higher and require Internet access.

Each earplug is equipped with capacitive touch sensors that support music, voice calls and smart assistants. When Pixel Buds are put in or taken out of the ear, the proximity sensor can also automatically pause and resume music.

The listening battery life of the single earphone is 5 hours (talk time is 2.5 hours). The charging storage box can be recharged through usb-c cable or Qi wireless (extended to 24 hours of listen / 12 hours of talk time), and it has the protection level of IPX4.

Google is now open to orders for the new Pixel Buds true wireless earbuds, available in plain white for $179, with a variety of other colour options to follow.
