According to MacRumors, an email from Steve Jobs circa October 2010 confirms that Apple is considering an iPhone 4 successor called the iPhone Nano. The email, released as evidence in Apple's legal battle with Epic Games, is a transcript of an executive team meeting that focused on Apple's strategy for 2011 while reviewing the company's performance in 2010.

The Verge uncovered the email, which was sent by Apple's late CEO Steve Jobs to other executives in October 2010, just months after Apple launched The iPhone ‌‌4. The email had several different business plans for 2011, including jobs' desire for Apple to find its niche, its best selling point, and its "holy war" with Google.

One section of the email, titled "‌iPhone‌-Joz&Bob," refers to current apple executive Greg joswiak and former apple executive Bob Mansfield, and is planning for the ‌iPhone‌. In 2011, Mr. Jobs noted in the email, Apple hopes to release a ‌iPhone‌ 4 with an improved antenna, most likely inspired by antennagate, improved performance, camera and software. But Apple finally made it happen with ‌iPhone ‌4S.
