LG launched the touch version of the transparent OLED display on June 17. LG said the new 55-inch transparent OLED touch display (model LG 55EW5TF) uses projected capacitor (P-Cap) film technology to provide a sensitive touch experience while still having higher transparency than traditional transparent LCD displays.
According to the nature of OLED self-luminous pixels, the content can be seen under a wide viewing angle. The P-Cap touch film can provide a quick and accurate response to user interaction, thereby providing a more intuitive and engaging solution. It supports up to 10 touch points at a time.
LG transparent OLED touch display is made of toughened, anti-reflective and anti-drop front glass, which can provide protection for commercial use. It uses a semi-assembly method, so companies can install it in different structures and spaces according to the physical environment and desired effects, and support horizontal and vertical display modes.
The 55-inch LG 55EW5TF can provide up to 400 nits of brightness and 150,000:1 contrast ratio depending on the application. The thickness at the thinnest point is only 7 mm. The monitor's digital signage box provides a wide range of connection options, including HDMI input, DP input/output, RS-232C input/output, audio output, USB 2.0 input, and touch USB input/output, LAN and IR. The new LG transparent OLED touch screen has passed Crestron Connected certification.
