Surfing the internet and spend 2 hours looking for a 4K TV with 65 inches under $500, there are options of LG 65UM6900PUA $499.99, Hisense 65R7E1 $494.99, Samsung UN65NU6900 $499.99 and TCL 65S425 $469.99. Which one is better? We will see the similarities and differences of the 4 types TV.

What are the differences?

TCL 65S425 and LG 65UM6900PUA have built-in Roku TV which means you don't need to buy another Roku TV box or stick. Hisense uses its own webOS and Samsung also its own Smart TV platform. WebOS uses the built-in Google Assistant to interact with other smart devices in your home. Samsung has its own IoT platform known as the SmartThings which comes preloaded on Samsung Smart TVs. You could choose one according to your likes.

As for the HDMI inputs, only Samsung UN65NU6900 has two which is 1 less than the rest 3 TV types.

Only LG has 2 USB 2.0 ports. The rest 3 have only 1 USB 2.0 port.

As for the weigth, Samsung is the heaviest (55.8 pounds with stand) and TCL is the lightest (39.7 with stand).

As for the product depth without stand, Samsung is only 2.4 inches, Hisense 3.4 inches, LG 3.5 inches, TCL 3.1 inches. Samsung is the most slim in thickness.

Backlight always flickers, causing duplications in motion.

Samsung UN65NU6900:
High native contrast.
Low input lag.
Great black uniformity.
Only 2 HDMI ports.
Limited HDR capabilities.
Picture quality degrades when viewed at an angle.

Affordable price
Solid picture quality for performance class
Roku Smart TV OS with robust app support

HDR brightness performance is limited
Lacks Wide Color Gamut coverage
