Norwegian high-end audio brand Electrocompaniet has released two fully balanced combined amplifiers ECI 6 MKII and ECI 6 DX MKII. The difference between the two is that DX version adds streaming media module, including Wi Fi reception, Gigabit Ethernet connection and USB-A and USB-B ports for external storage, which can be controlled through IOS or Android devices. Both ECI 6 MKII and ECI 6 DX MKII have 4 sets of analog inputs, including 1 set of balanced input and 1 set of single ended balanced output.
ECI 6 MKII amplifier, based on ECI 5 MKII released in 2010 or 2011, provides 125w × 2 (8 Ω load) output power, but is equipped with better power supply and more advanced preamplifier module.
The original factory said that the output stage of the new model is carried out with moderate negative feedback, thus obtaining better low-frequency expansion and control ability, with meticulous and open midrange as well as warm and delicate high-frequency. They have redesigned the new front panel. The fuselage structure has been strengthened, so it is more robust.
ECI 6 DX MKII
For pure analog amplifier ECI 6 MKII, it is also a modular design, that is, it can be upgraded to ECI 6 DX MKII by adding modules.
