The meteoric rise of Epic Games since the arrival of the Fortnite cash machine , then the success of the Epic Games Store, is certainly envious. The company is listed and it is therefore quite logical to see investors jostling to carve out a piece of the cake, and bet on the future.

We learn that Sony has invested $ 250 million in Epic Games to continue their already close relationship and their common goal of advancing the state of the art in technology, entertainment and socially connected online services. The dust value of Epic Games now stands at $ 1.83 billion. In 2012, it was the Chinese giant Tencent who had made a 40% stake in Epic Games just $ 330 million, no doubt that the investment has been largely profitable since.

The first sign most evocative of the merger of Sony and Epic Games is undoubtedly that of the Unreal Engine 5 demo on PS5 . This genius marketing coup has been widely talked about for days without showing any real game or machine.

The Unreal Engine 5 engine will be well used on all consoles and Sony ultimately has "only" 1.4% of Epic Games, which makes it a significant shareholder, but still a minority.

Epic Games successfully completed an obstacle course! a few years ago, the company was not at its best and today they are called upon in several areas of entertainment. after that remains business, an investment with expectations on juicy returns.
