"The Banker" is based on the true story of black entrepreneurs Bernard Garrett and Joe Morris, whose careers were hampered by racial restrictions in the 1950s. In a bizarre twist, they hire Matt Steiner (Holt) as the boss of their empire, Garrett as the doorman and Morris as the driver. Long will also play a key role as Garrett's wife. But as their empire grows, their tactics are in danger of being exposed...

The Banker‘s story is told in a solid, chronological way, and is relatively simple. White supremacy segregation has made the poor poorer, and when a society uses laws to protect social inequality, it is the greatest tragedy of the rebels. The American dream that all men are created equal is still a hard reality. Black people in the past may be Asian or Latino today.
