The USB port is one of the most commonly heard and seen ports, we often use it when charging our cell phones or linking computers. The USB port is called Universal Serial Bus, in the CRT era of television, there is no USB interface. Later in the LCD TV era, the USB port began to emerge. We can find the USB2.0 port in some early days non-smart TVs.

The decoding function can be achieved through the built-in Blu-ray HD decoder chip inside the TV. The USB2.0 port, as the input interface, allows users to connect devices such as flash drives, mobile hard drives or card readers in their hands, thus directly reading audio and video files, and is also relatively extensive in terms of supported file formats. These include the familiar MP4, AVI, MKV, RM, RMVB, TS, TP and other video files, as well as MP3, ACC, FLC and other formats of audio files, such as JPG, PNG, BMP and so on, like the video or photos taken on a trip.

Many TV manufacturers have added the new USB3.0 interface to their 4K TVs. the USB3.0 interface can achieve a transfer speed of 5-10Gbps, which is completely better than the USB2.0 interface, and the maximum speed can reach 640MB/s, which is sufficient to meet the needs of transferring 4K UHD.
