According to sales data, Samsung's three most popular OLED TV series are the S95D, S90D, and S85D, with the S90D boasting the highest sales figures.

Samsung Electronics has traditionally used quantum dot OLED (QD-OLED) panels from Samsung Display for its mainstream products, while its competitor LG Electronics has utilized W-OLED panels from LG Display.

Last year's S90C model only offered QD-OLED panels in 55, 65, and 75-inch sizes, while the 83-inch model used LG Display's W-OLED panel (primarily because Samsung Display only produces QD-OLED panels in 55, 65, and 75-inch sizes).

Insiders suggest that since LG Display demands that its W-OLED products cannot be positioned lower than QD-OLED, Samsung Electronics plans to adopt W-OLED technology more extensively this year. However, insiders indicate that the higher-end S95D series will still be limited to QD-OLED panels. Meanwhile, Samsung also plans to introduce the S85D series products exclusively with W-OLED panels.

Currently, Samsung's S90D in 55, 65, and 75-inch models will feature both QD-OLED and W-OLED panels, while the 42, 48, and 83-inch models will utilize W-OLED panels.

Furthermore, Samsung may offer W-OLED versions exclusively in some markets and QD-OLED versions in others. There are differing opinions in the industry about which technology excels in viewing angles, brightness, and color reproduction. However, for manufacturers capable of modifying panels themselves, this may be irrelevant, as they are more concerned about cost issues.
