Application of Feng Shui in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Application of Feng Shui in Animal Crossing: New Horizons: Feng Shui is a practice - an art even according to some - which, very roughly, aims to bring harmony into your little house. In Animal Crossing, this translates concretely into "having more luck": that is to say, finding more objects and more money. How does it work ? Well to admit it all, in a relatively simple way. In the game, each piece of furniture is usually dyed in one or two main colors, so the idea is to place objects of a certain color in a certain place in your house, respecting the rules below.

Each square here corresponds to a unit of space in your home. Clearly, this means that to maximize the baraka, you must place your yellow objects on the left of your room, the red objects on the right, and the green ones at the bottom. The white boxes have no influence on Feng Shui. For furniture and objects of several colors, only the one that affects Feng Shui is taken into account. A yellow and white piece of furniture, for example, will only count for the color yellow. As for a yellow and green object, it can be placed either on the yellow or green boxes without specific priority. As you can see there are, however, boxes of two colors. They indicate that you can store objects in it or in one color or the other, but to further attract the favors of fate,
  • Placing yellow objects on the yellow boxes helps to flush out more bells (more frequent bell trees, sometimes lower sale prices or even more money at the boulders)
  • Placing red objects on the red boxes favors obtaining rarer objects
  • Placing green items on the green boxes increases the chance in general (more money and more rare items)
Note that there existed in the previous opus lucky objects, capable of contributing even more to Feng Shui, some of a key color (we could arrange them on the boxes of the corresponding color to optimize as much as possible) and others of a color without any influence (it was therefore recommended to place them on the white boxes, which by default are "useless"). Be careful, however, if this information was valid in the vast majority of Animal Crossing games, it is possible that New Horizons has some subtleties that would be specific to it. However, the overall functioning of this system as indicated here should not undergo major changes.
