At the CES show in January of the same year, the announcement of the UltraHD Premium certification standard also showed that 4K has truly entered the standardization. In this era, 4K HDR related products have also been released, such as 4K HDR TVs, 4K HDR projectors, 4K HDR Blu-ray discs, and 4K HDR amplifiers.UltraHD Premium equipment certification standards:

What is HDR?

What is HDR? In short, HDR is the abbreviation of "high dynamic range", the full name is "High-dynamic-range", it belongs to a display technology, the corresponding display technology is SDR (standard dynamic range Standard-dynamic-range), The so-called dynamic range refers to the difference between brightness and darkness in the image field. As for HDR, the greater the dynamic range, the richer the details of the bright and dark parts recorded on the image at the same time. HDR can express a wider brightness than SDR dynamic range.

Normally the human eye can perceive the brightness in the range of 10¹² cd / m², but the traditional hdr display device can only display 10³ cd / m², however, the brightness width that the HDR display device can display is 10⁵ cd / m², in other words, it can capture Up to 100 times the brightness of traditional display devices.

HDR has attracted attention as the next-generation high-quality image technology. HDR-related content has also been seen on streaming media platforms such as Netflix, HULU, and video services such as UHD Blu-ray.
