SVOD Landscape in the United States: By 2029, six major SVOD platforms in the United States are anticipated to command a total of 946 million SVOD users, surpassing the 2023 figure of 751 million. This collective growth suggests an addition of 196 million users across these platforms.

Individual Platform Analysis: Netflix is poised to remain the largest single platform, expecting an increase of 44 million users from 2023 to 2029, reaching a total of 298 million. In comparison, Disney+ is projected to have over 100 million fewer subscribers than Netflix, and its investments and acceptance in the Asia-Pacific region are expected to decrease significantly.

Insights from Digital TV Research: Simon Murray, Chief Analyst at Digital TV Research, notes, "Video subscription platforms now measure their success through profitability, meaning already profitable entities like Netflix stand to benefit more than their U.S.-based competitors."

The forecasted surge in global SVOD subscriptions over the next seven years underscores the ongoing evolution and expansion of the digital entertainment landscape. As platforms continue to compete for users worldwide, these projections offer insights into the shifting dynamics of user preferences and regional market trends, shaping the future of SVOD services on a global scale.
