Apple and Samsung jointly launched the Apple Music app for Samsung Smart TVs in April. Starting today, the Apple Music app on Samsung TVs supports time-synced lyrics, which allow Apple Music listeners to view in the form of karaoke when playing songs, so that users can sing along with the music. Apple Music ‌Real-time lyrics feature is available for Samsung smart TV models from 2018 to 2020.

Samsung was the first to use the Apple Music app on a smart TV, and its appearance is similar to the features of Apple Music for Apple TV. Many of Samsung’s recent smart TVs also support the ‌‌Apple TV‌‌ app, which provides access to ‌‌Apple TV‌‌+, ‌‌Apple TV ‌‌channels, and rental and purchase of movies and TV shows.

How to use Apple Music time-synced lyrics on Samsung smart TV?

Samsung Smart TV owners can download "Apple Music" from the Samsung Smart TV App Store, log in to their existing account using their Apple ID, or start the subscription process directly from their TV.

Samsung Smart TV owners can also try "Apple Music" for three months for free, and offer subscription plans for individuals, families or students.

When Samsung first added Apple Music, we noted that the app had been an incentive to buy an Apple TV. But Apple appears to be focussing more on its services, as hardware becomes less of a guaranteed money-maker. By making Apple Music available in more places, like Samsung’s Smart TVs, it might encourage new users to sign up. As part of today’s announcement, Samsung said its users can try Apple Music free for three months.
