Bangladeshi telecom operator TeleTalk, in partnership with Huawei, officially launched 5G services in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, on Dec. 12.

Huawei said that in the initial phase, the 5G network will be deployed at the Parliament building, the Prime Minister's Office, and the National Monument, and will expand its coverage in the following year.

A temporary 5G site was opened at the event, and visitors experienced AR / VR services, learned about 5G use cases, and experienced content such as high transmission rates and low latency services at 4~10ms.

In November, Huawei Chairman Liang Hua said that 1.5 million 5G sites have been deployed worldwide, with 176 commercial 5G networks providing 5G services to 520 million users.
