Therefore, we can observe the state of the outdoor unit to judge whether the air conditioner is lack of fluorine. The main reason is that the refrigeration effect is too poor to reach the cooling effect, the compressor needs to maintain high-power operation, and the power consumption is also increased.

It depends on the function of the compressor and circulates from the liquid state to the gas state, so it will not be reduced under normal conditions. Generally, the damaged point will be dirty. The two valves are respectively connected with a thick and a thin copper pipe, the thick one is the gas pipe, and the thin one is the liquid pipe. When the air conditioner is running, the refrigerant is transported by the copper pipe.

Air conditioning lack of fluorine, the performance of the valve is most obvious: high pressure valve (liquid pipe) valve will frost, because the pressure drops, the boiling point of the refrigerant decreases, the temperature of the valve is lower than the freezing point, boiling in advance to absorb heat, causing frost phenomenon. The valve of low pressure valve (air pipe) is dry and has no obvious cold feeling. Because of the lack of refrigerant, the boiling of evaporator ends ahead of time, and the temperature of valve rises, which exceeds the temperature of outdoor air.

Evaporator, condensate

Open the indoor unit panel and remove the filter screen. If only part of the evaporator is dewed and frosted, it may be because the air conditioner is lack of fluorine. Because of the lack of refrigerant, only part of the evaporator has boiling heat absorption, so only part of the evaporator area is refrigerated.

When the air conditioner is refrigerated, it will produce condensed water. Because the temperature of the evaporator is low, the water vapor in the air will condense into small water droplets when it is cooled. Normally, the condensate will flow to the water collecting tray along the evaporator, and then it will be discharged out of the room through the condensate pipe connected to the water collecting tray. If the air conditioner is short of fluorine, the condensate will be intermittent or even not drained at all. Because the refrigeration area of the evaporator is reduced, the condensate will be less naturally.

Current and refrigerant pressure

Measuring the working current and refrigerant pressure of the air conditioner is the most direct way to judge whether the air conditioner is lack of fluorine. Only professional measuring instruments (ammeter and pressure gauge) are needed. If the air conditioner is short of fluorine, its working current will be less than the rated current, and the pressure measured at the fluorine filling port will be less than 0.45MPa.
