With Microsoft's online launch of "Inside XBOX" and the release of a large number of new information, the game industry has entered a new generation.

Given that the XBOX series is more oriented toward European and American players, the fresh drawing style of several Japanese games mixed with many American games is quite striking. But compared to Yakuza: Like a Dragon's cross-platform migration, the brand new IP from BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, Scarlet Nexus, is clearly more interesting.
Scarlet Nexus

The story of Scarlet Nexus is set in the distant future. Human beings find that some people have unique hormones in their brains, which can give them extraordinary abilities. But at the same time, Others, the alien creatures that hunt for such hormones, also fall from the sky.

Due to the total ineffectiveness of conventional attack methods, humans with superpowers gathered together and formed a special punitive Force called "Other Suppression Force (OSF)" to fight against aliens with their various superpowers. The player plays the protagonist, is because from a young age with a vision of superpowers and joined the OSF.

The main character can move objects with superpowers, so as you can see in the promotional video, the ability to remotely control objects to attack aliens gives the ARPG a relatively new operating style. Also, according to BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, the game was created by the original cast of the classic RPG Tales of Vesperia, so the game added a rich element of strategy in addition to its emphasis on fast-paced gameplay.

But other than that, it has to be said that the game itself is still not out of the traditional Japanese works "routine". The combination of celestial aliens and superpowers, coupled with the familiar Japanese style, is reminiscent of last year's Astral Chain. The latter also tells the story of a hero with special powers and his special forces fighting against an alien monster.

As the first release of the Xbox Series X, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment is confident in the new IP, saying it aims to significantly change the way players think about JRPG through its unique sci-fi style and highly strategic operating experience. At first glance, this sounds like a big deal. So with the high-performance support of a brand new host, can the Scarlet Nexus break through as advertised? I'm afraid time will tell.
