Just as Mad Max sparked the trend of dirt flow movies, John Wick ignited the industry's enthusiasm, and even director David Reich himself couldn't pass up a good chance to replicate his success with Atomic Blonde. What's even more surprising is that the sequel to "John Wick" not only meets the rare high standards set by its predecessor, but also expands its unique cinematic universe even further.
John wick continues to pace himself in chapter 3, and the subtitle "preparing for war" gives an early hint of the plot's ambitions for more sequels. Following the "infinite war" started at the end of "John Wick 2", "John Wick 3" continues to innovate in addition to its still high-quality and efficient action choreography, making the film's story more and more far away from the constraints of the real world.
