Little Women: the relationship between Jo and Laurie is romantic

"Little Women" is produced by the American Columbia film company, adapted from the classic novel of the same name, tells the story of affection, love and growth of the four march sisters. The relationship between boy Laurie (Timothee Chalamet) and march's second sister Jo (Saoirse Ronan) is one of the most talked about themes, both in the books and in the movies. In the movie, the two dance together in the warm yellow light at night, run after each other on the sunny beach, and hold hands on the frozen river.

However, the two seemingly childhood sweethearts also taste the bitterness of love: Laurie finally confesses his love to Jo, but Jo rejects him on the grounds that he loves freedom and career too much. Laurie and Jo gave top-notch performances from the lines to the expressions, and achieved this high-energy scene in the whole film. It seems that you can hear Jo's helpless sigh and Laurie's heart-broken voice on the screen, which makes the audience sigh for their rough road.

"Little Women" has had a double success at the box office and media reviews since its Christmas release in North America last year. "Little Women" won six nominations at this year's Academy Awards, including best picture and best actress, and won the best costume design award. The entire awards season produced a stunning total of 73 awards and 183 nominations. The film grossed more than $100 million in North America and more than $200 million worldwide, far more than the industry expected.
