The latest Roku TV models in the UK will now use Freely as the default way to watch free over-the-air broadcast channels. Roku is the newest manufacturer to adopt the platform backed by public service broadcasters (PSBs) and promoted by Everyone TV, which also operates Freesat.

Brands like Hisense, Bush, Toshiba, Sharp, Panasonic, and Metz, as well as Amazon for its Fire OS smart TVs, have already integrated Freely.

Richard Halton, UK Country Manager at Roku, said:
*"Roku believes all TV content will eventually be streamed. We’re thrilled to partner with Freely and continue working with UK broadcasters. Together, we’ll deliver the best content discovery experience for viewers across the UK. We look forward to launching new Roku TV models with Freely built-in, available this summer at UK retailers."*

Jonathan Thompson, CEO of Everyone TV, added:
*"Bringing Freely to the Roku OS is a major milestone as we expand this free streaming platform. We’re delighted that Roku, a global leader, recognizes the importance of easy, seamless access to PSB content for UK audiences. I can’t wait to see Freely-enabled Roku smart TVs hit the market this summer."*

Last month, Freely revealed new features rolling out soon, including:
- Backwards TV Guide: Lets users scroll back to earlier in the day to quickly start streaming or add shows to "My List."
- Never Miss: Highlights upcoming, live, and just-missed shows, plus the best on-demand picks.
