According to statistics released by market research firm Omdia on August 21st, Samsung Electronics secured the top position in the global TV market for the first half of 2023 with a market share of 31.2%, based on sales revenue.

Additionally, LG Electronics maintained its dominance in the OLED TV market with a market share of 51.7%.

Data from AVC Revo on August 1st revealed that the global TV shipments for the first half of 2023 totaled 89.189 million units, representing a 1.7% year-on-year decrease. Samsung, Hisense, and TCL ranked as the top three in TV shipments, with leading Chinese brands continuing to expand their shipment volumes.

The data underscores Samsung's continued strength in the global TV market, capturing a significant market share and maintaining its position as a frontrunner in the industry.
