On August 1st, Samsung Electronics officially launched its new Movingstyle Edge smart display in South Korea. Designed for versatility and mobility, this 32-inch 4K floor-standing smart monitor features a built-in wheeled base and runs on Samsung’s Tizen OS. It offers functionality similar to LG’s Smart Monitor Swing, catering to modern home users seeking flexibility and smart connectivity.
The Samsung Movingstyle Edge is equipped with a 32-inch VA panel that delivers a UHD resolution of 3840 × 2160, a 60Hz refresh rate, 4ms GtG response time, and typical brightness of 300 nits. The display supports 10-bit color depth and covers 72% of the NTSC color gamut, making it suitable for casual viewing, smart home dashboards, and light content creation.
Samsung offers two design variants depending on the monitor stand's configuration: a Standard version and a Light variant. Both models share the same mobility-focused form factor with a rolling stand, allowing users to move the monitor freely around the home.
The Movingstyle Edge isn’t just a display—it’s a full-fledged smart monitor. Running on Tizen OS, it supports popular streaming platforms and Apple AirPlay, making it easy to cast content from iPhones, iPads, or Macs.
For connectivity, the monitor supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2, ensuring seamless wireless connections with various smart devices. It can also function as a Samsung SmartThings hub, giving users centralized control over compatible smart home appliances.
The Samsung Movingstyle Edge is currently available in South Korea, with an official retail price of 675,180 KRW (approximately $520 USD). Samsung has not yet announced international availability, but the monitor’s blend of portability and smart features could make it a popular choice in other markets as well.
