The half of it, Alice Wu's "The Half of It" was once listed on Netflix's "Hot Movie List of the Week". Many people put the movies in their "good-looking lesbian drama" favorites.

The Half of It

The Half of It

The triangle relationship, the wet body of the pool, and the church's public obstruction of the proposal of a genuine boyfriend ... These plots sound old-fashioned and effective: let you wonder: Which rotten and infamous love movie was released?

But even for old bottles of new wine, the Chinese female director Alice Wu can arrange the plots properly: there are elements of incomparable drama in The Half of It, but also plots that make people laugh, ponder, and memorize.

This is not surprising. Director Wu is a lesbian herself, and her debut work with Chen Chong, "Face", was adapted based on her experience of being a Chinese woman and coming out with her mother. What's more, the two heroines in The Half of It are the most outstanding in "Campus Love Saints": Ellie Chu and Esther.

However, instead of calling this movie "lesbian drama", I tend to categorize The Half of It in the "Youth Movie" folder, it has the element of Ji film, but the emphasis is on young people to themselves confused state of life, explore, and "What is love" to solve this proposition .
