However, I did notice that viewing from the side resulted in some color fading, which was a bit disappointing. I had hoped that the quality would hold up from different angles, but it’s manageable given how good it looks head-on.

Audio Experience​

The sound quality is decent for built-in speakers, but I found it lacking when it came to dialogue clarity. I often use a soundbar for a better experience, as the internal audio doesn’t always deliver, especially during action-packed scenes where sound can get drowned out. However, once I connected my soundbar, it made a noticeable difference, enhancing my overall enjoyment.

While I was thrilled with the picture, I did run into some frustrating moments with the operating system. The SmartCast features seemed sluggish, making navigation a bit cumbersome at times. I learned to rely more on external devices like my Roku for streaming, as it worked much better than the built-in options.

That said, there are a few cons that can’t be ignored. The SmartCast interface is slow and occasionally unresponsive, which can be annoying. I also wish the side viewing angles were better; it’s not a dealbreaker, but it does detract from the experience when I have guests over. And while the initial setup was smooth, I did face some issues with the sound syncing with my devices at times.

Update: So, I had to take the TV back because it kept shutting off and turning on by itself, which was super annoying. Bummer, though, 'cause the picture was really nice!

But honestly, this TV was awesome! The picture quality is sharp and clear. I read some reviews saying the picture gets fuzzy when you’re looking at it from the side, but I didn’t notice that at all. Overall, it was a solid buy for a great price!

I grabbed this TV back in January 2020, and at first, I was all about it—thought it was a solid 5-star pick. But man, that changed fast. Right out of the gate, I had to swap it because it was showing these annoying vertical lines, especially on gray and white screens. Then, just in the last couple of months, it started acting up again, giving me a black screen that would flicker back to normal after a few seconds. Honestly, after all this hassle, I don’t think I’ll be going for another Vizio TV anytime soon.

So, it’s been about three years since I got this TV, and honestly, I’m pretty disappointed. Over the past year, I've noticed a bunch of weird spots popping up—like these black marks in the corners and a couple more just hanging out in the middle of the screen.

I used to have a Vizio way back when they first started—like 20 years ago—and that thing was a champ! Never had a single problem with it for almost two decades.

But after this experience, I’m definitely not going to get another Vizio.
