Chromecast represents a type of product. It can cast content from the screen of a phone or mobile device directly onto the big screen of a TV, and then use the phone to control the playback of the video, which is very convenient.

We won't really spend much time talking about the Chromecast Ultra design, because the Chromecast Ultra is designed in much the same way as Chromecast 2 and Chromecast 3: with a micro-usb power input, a short HDMI cable, one plug into the TV, one plug into the power supply, that's all.

What is Chromecast Ultra, what can we do with it

The installation of Chromecast Ultra is as simple as plugging HDMI into your TV (or other receiver or other 4K enabled device) and connecting it to a power supply. That's all you need to do with Chromecast Ultra, and leave the rest to the App.

Of course, you'll need a 4K UHD and HDR TV to see everything. If you want to watch dolby horizon, you can also make sure that TV supports this effect, and there are more and more kinds of TV that support dolby horizon.

It's also important to check your TV's Settings to make sure that the selected HDMI input option has uhd Settings turned on. There are usually different menus and names on different TVS. While Chromecast Ultra works without changing the Settings, you might actually find that unless you change the Settings on your TV, you're not really watching 4K content, or you might see some stripes or discoloration.

But once everything is ready, the next step is to connect Chromecast Ultra to your home network. There are two options for this session. The first is via a wi-fi connection, which can be set up via an app called Home, which automatically scans your device to identify the Chromecast Ultra in the network to make sure it's connected to the right device.

Of course, streaming 4K HDR content over wi-fi may not be suitable for all users, depending on where the TV is at home and where the router is. If you use Chromecast Ultra in your basement, you may prefer wired connectivity, which is one of Chromecast's new features.

There are a variety of 4K resources available on Chromecast Ultra, but the two mentioned above, namely Netflix and YouTube, are by far the largest sources of 4K Ultra hd.

Google Play also offers uhd content, but you'll need to use Chromecast Ultra again for a seamless screen cast.

Another major source of video content is amazon video. When Chromecast Ultra was first released in 2016, amazon didn't support Google radio, but it does now, which means you can also send content to your TV via Google devices.
