Amazon Prime Video: Freely Intercept Feature

New member
Amazon is launching a new Prime Video feature that allows users to freely intercept a certain segment of a TV series or movie, and then share it on major social platforms or send it to friends through messages. At present, this feature is limited to the iOS platform and the United States. At the beginning of the launch, only the first season of "Black Picket", "Wildland", "Invincible Young Man" and "Fairfax" are supported.

If you are watching these four American dramas, you can click the new "Share a clip" button to create a 30-second clip. Once you click the button, the streaming service will pause the show and open a screen where you can clip and edit the video. The app will then create a clip you just watched, allowing you to move the clip forward or backward to the exact location you want.

You can also preview the clip before sharing it with others. When you are ready to share the clip, you can select the "Share" icon and upload or share it via Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, iMessage, Messenger and WhatsApp.

Amazon said it plans to let users share more clips from original movies and TV shows in the future.

The company's decision to allow users to share its content marks a change with other streaming services, which currently do not provide a way to share video clips of its shows and movies.

Netflix, Disney+ and Hulu all prevent users from capturing screenshots of content on their services, and instead black out the images when users try to do so.
