According to IGN, the latest in DICE's much-anticipated Battlefield 1942 series is slated for release in 2021.
DICE provided a statement to IGN stating that while the burden of Battlefield V and Star Wars Battlefront II is easing, the team is focusing on the future of Battlefield 1942, which is set for release in 2021.
Last October, electronic arts said during its second quarter earnings call in 2020 that it would not introduce a new "Battlefield 1942" series until at least 2020. According to the analysis by the management of electronic arts at that time, the new home console will be launched in 2020, and the initial number of users is still limited, which may not be able to fully realize the potential value of the game works.
