Disney+ added 11.8 million new users worldwide, exceeding the market's average estimate of 7 million. Disney+’s global average revenue per subscriber (ARPU) was $4.41/month, a year-on-year increase of 9%, of which average revenue per subscriber (ARPU) in the United States and Canada was $6.68/month, a year-on-year increase of 15.2%.

In recent years, global streaming media represented by Netflix and Disney+ has developed rapidly. In addition to the short-term stimulus factors of the epidemic, it is also mainly related to the trend of global TV streaming.

With the popularity of smart TVs and connected TV devices, and the disappearance of mobile dividends, streaming subscribers mainly come from streaming TVs. A growing number of TV viewers are turning away from traditional TV in the form of traditional broadcast and pay-TV services in favor of Internet-based streaming TV.
