DIY Turn A Discarded Phone to A Projector!

Some guy turn a discarded Android phone into a mini projector! really impressive, and it costs only about $13.

First, you need an old Android phone, but remember, it has to be an LCD screen, not Samsung's AMOLED.

Then find a piece of wood, about 25cm by 15cm above the line. Make a slot in the middle of the board that matches the size of the phone screen.

Next, spray paint, if not, use a black oil pen to apply. Must be black, because the interior is afraid of light loss.

When the black paint dries, stick the phone on.

Next, find a store to buy a glass and a lens. According to mobile phone screen size to buy Fresnel lens, for example 4.3 inches of Fresnel lens, then buy a 5 inches within dedicated projector short focal lens.

The light source is then embedded in the wood board, which is ready-made and not included in the cost. If it is missing, it needs to be bought, incurring additional costs.

Install the front Fresnel lens and the rear Fresnel lens. This one needs to be fixed with glass glue.

Next, see the effect with a short focal lens and be sure to download the movie to your phone ahead of time. Once you're sure you can project it onto the wall, you concave the board. You need to make a hole in the board, slip the short focal lens into it, and make the board stand.

Assemble the board, plug in the phone, and see what happens! The effective size of any movie is about 65 inches, and the colors are ok, but 720P and 1080P are about the same.
