Bethesda and id Software have released the first information on the update of DOOM Eternal to be deployed in the middle of May on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia while unveiling the first two visual extension of the FPS.

If the update will be more detailed when it is released, we already know that it will spice up the campaign with a new system of reinforced demons. The DOOM Eternal concept is simple: when a player dies in the single player campaign, the demon who eliminates him is reinforced and transported to another player's game. The latter can then try to eliminate this dangerous target to avenge his compatriot and receive a nice reward in health points, ammunition and XP. The update will also respond to some comments about balancing the single-player campaign. These changes include more advanced demon tutorials, a vertical rush in the water, and adjusting the damage when swimming in toxic waters, says id Software.

The DOOM Eternal Battlemode is not to be outdone and will see the addition of new features, including the integration of Denuvo anti-cheat functions, reworked tutorials, indicators of poor network connection, leveling by class for players who have reached the maximum level. and a death screen providing players with a better understanding of mid-game combat. Players will also be able to build a friend list from Bethesda.net and use their username to quickly invite the friends in question to join the arena.

" Know that we are still working on Invasion mode and the first extension of Pass Year One, " adds id Software, which shares two visuals from the extension in question. Sold for 29.99 euros, the Year One Pass will include two extensions, which, unless the situation turns around, can not count on Mick Gordon's sweet chants.
