EPSON EMP-820 projector, RGB port is connected to the computer, and the video input port is connected to the VCD machine. After turning on, the color is severely cold, so the color temperature is adjusted, but even if it is adjusted to the maximum, the color is not warm.

Then adjust the intensity of each color of R (red), G (green), and B (blue) separately. It is found that the screen colors have changed when adjusting G and B, but there is no change when adjusting R. It is suspected that the projector adjustment control circuit or Decoding circuit is defective. Turn on the VCD, play a video disc, switch the projector image source to the video input port, and find that the display is normal, and the red is missing when the computer input screen is displayed. Then I switched to the computer screen, opened the drawing program, and wanted to fill the entire screen with red, but found that the entire screen was not red at all. The place where red should be on the palette was black, and both the blue and green colors .

Obviously, the problem can only be with the cable from the video card output to the projector input. Open the 15-pin RGB plugs at both ends of the connection cable, and find that a line on the plug connected to the RGB port of the projector is broken. After welding it, reconnect the projector and the computer. The computer image displayed on the boot is normal. ,Troubleshooting.

Experience: The fault location is on the connection line, and the fault is displayed on the projector, which is easy to cause the illusion that the projector is broken, and focus the suspicion on the inside of the projector
