These are the "COVID-19 disturbances" which are cited by Koei Tecmo to justify this postponement. Here is the press release posted on social networks :

Due to disruption to COVID-19, which continues to affect the world, Koei Tecmo and Studio Gust have made the decision to postpone the release of the game Fairy Tail to July 30, 2020. In this unprecedented period, the development team is doing everything possible to provide a magical JRPG experience to fans around the world. We thank you for your patience as the teams put the finishing touches on this exciting adventure.
Planned on PC (Steam), PS4 and Nintendo Switch, Fairy Tail takes the form of a turn-based RPG repeating several chapters of the work signed Hiro Mashima (Tenrō arcs, Grand Tournoi de la Magie, Eclipse and Tartaros) and integrating some new stories to take advantage of the relational system between the characters. The player will begin his adventure while Natsu and his gang must rebuild the reputation of their guild, by carrying out increasingly higher rank quests. 16 playable characters have been announced, knowing that non-playable "guests" from other Magnolia guilds will be able to help you during fights.
