Hisense and Leica cooperate to launch Leica Cine 1

Recently, Leica officially announced that Leica Camera and Hisense have reached technical cooperation to launch their own products in the field of laser TVs, and will exclusively exhibit Leica’s first laser TVs at this year’s Berlin International Consumer Electronics Show (IFA). Leica Cine 1.

Leica Camera AG is expanding its business area and intends to establish a foothold in laser TV equipment with its own products. The company has reached a cooperation agreement with Hisense. Through technical cooperation, the two companies are laying an important foundation for the further development of laser TV in home theater applications. The purpose of the long-term cooperation is to combine Hisense's technology in the field of laser TVs with Leica's long-term expertise in the development and manufacture of high-quality projection lenses. Leica will exclusively present its first laser TV product, the Leica Cine 1, at IFA in Germany.

Home theater entertainment is a fast-growing market, according to Leica. Expanding the product line in this area is a great opportunity for Leica to acquire new customers with high-quality products. This technical cooperation has laid a solid foundation for the two companies to further develop laser TVs for home theater applications. The purpose of the long-term cooperation is to combine Hisense's technical expertise in the laser TV market with Leica's expertise in the development and manufacture of high-quality projection lenses to develop a robust and future-proof short-range laser TV platform.

Hisense and Leica Camera officially signed a technical cooperation agreement in Munich, Germany. The two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation to jointly accelerate the application and popularization of ultra-short-focus laser TVs in the global market. It is reported that the laser TV Leica Cine 1 after the cooperation between the two parties will be displayed at the IFA exhibition in Germany in September this year.

This is not the first time Leica has ventured into the field of projection. Leica has already launched a number of projectors in the Pradovit series.
