How to choose the projection ratio of the projector?

In the absence of these ultra-short-throw throw ratios and zoom technologies, ordinary projectors have to use ceiling mounts to project a 100-inch large screen. If it has been planned when designing the house, there is no problem in installation, such as classrooms and offices. However, it is more troublesome for users who want to buy a projector later, but the home environment is limited.

Now we have projectors in traditional, short throw and ultra short throw styles to choose from. So how much projection distance do these styles of projection images need under a fixed projection size?

Generally, our projection screen is 16:9. If we want to project a 100-inch super-large screen, the projector with a projection ratio of 1.5 has a projector distance of 3.3 meters;

A projector with a throw ratio of 1 has a distance of 2.2 meters; a reflective ultra-short-throw projector has a throw ratio of 0.4, and the projector distance only needs 0.4 meters.
