When the Vizio TV display or screen went wrong, don't rush to replace it with a new one. First of all, you have to diagnose whether the TV itself or the devices broadingcasting the picutre can't work.

Step 1: Power cycle your Vizio TV.
Unplug the power cord from the outlet or the wall (whichever is more accessible).
Hold the power button on the side of the TV down for 3-5 seconds.
Plug the TV's power cord back in, and power on your Vizio TV.
Some Televisions also have an option to 'Soft Power Cycle' in the menu. To access this press the menu button and choose System > Reset & Admin > Soft Power Cycle.

Step 2: Verify the cord is securely connected to the video device and your Vizio TV. If a cord comes loose it could cause a display issue.

Step 3: Check to see if the issue happens on another device, or an app. You can also check your Vizio TV's menu by pressing the 'Menu' button on your VIZIO remote.

If your Vizio TV has a display issue, the TV will usually have the issue on all content. You'll see the same problem when watching your cable box and your blu-ray player. You'll also generally see the problem affect the menu. If the issue only happens when watching 1 device and can't be seen when looking at menu, you may want to contact the manufacturer of your video device for assistance.

Step 4: Check your picture mode to see if there is an issue with your Vizio TVs settings.

Press the Menu button on your VIZIO remote, then choose 'Picture'.
The top option will be 'Picture Mode'.
Try toggling between different picture modes.

Some remotes have a PIC button on them. You can also change pictures modes by pressing the PIC button.

Step 5: Reset your Vizio TV to factory defaults.

Press the menu button on your VIZIO remote, and choose System > Reset & Admin > Reset to Factory Settings. In some models it may be under the 'Help' option instead of 'System'

If you're still having an issue after performing the above steps, call the Vizio support agent.
