There are basically 2 ways to do this -
- Get an indoor flat panel antenna and connect your TV for over-the-air local TV. In most major markets, you can get anywhere from 20–50 digital TV channels (in high def) over the air with an antenna. These flat panel antennas are inexpensive and work pretty well. They start around $19 and the more powerful ones are around $79. You can find these at most electronics stores or at Home Depot.
- Alternative is IPTV (live TV over the internet). There are quite a few options for this, some more reliable than others. The better IPTV services do charge a nominal subscription. In my opinion, the two best ones are SET TV and Players Klub. These offer a large number of channels (hundreds) and an electronic program guide for a service similar to premium cable. SET TV currently charges $20/month for 500 channels. Players Klub is still free but I think that may change soon. SET TV can be ordered (free trial) at Setvnow.coom. You can check YouTube or Google for details on Players Klub. Mobdro tends to be unreliable and low resolution (typical of free IPTV services).
