While they both feature the same screen size and resolution, the Insignia brand offers an Edge LED Backlight. In contrast, Vizio features a direct LED backlight. Another difference is that The Vizio feature higher brightness measured 500 candelas per square meter. In comparison, insignia features 240 candelas per square meter, as shown below.

Regarding 4K capability and display specifications, the Vizio V series appears to be a better option than the Insignia TV series. The Vizio line, for example, offers full-array local dimming backlighting to boost contrast and supports Dolby Vision 4K formats. Energy​
