LG leaves the large video projector market to players such as Epson, JVC or Sony and focuses on more accessible and versatile products. The LG models are not necessarily aimed at dedicated rooms, but rather at the salons of everyone, and even in a fixed way. Some LG projectors are easily transportable to change rooms, follow you on vacation and be stored in a closet when not in use. This is the case with this new LG CineBeam PH30N .

How small is this projector? Let's take the Apple TV multimedia box for comparison: you keep the same minimalist height, you add 3 cm on the side and you have the dimensions of the LG PH30N, that is 13 cm on the side for 3.9 cm in height . Basically, it holds in the hand, it is to say to what point the miniaturization makes miracles. Its advantages do not stop at its size.

This micro projector works autonomously thanks to a battery giving it an autonomy of two and a half hours . Enough to watch most movies without falling flat. To stay in total wireless, just plug in a USB key on which your movies are stored. Otherwise, you can connect any source via the HDMI jack . A small auxiliary speaker of 1 Watt may be enough but it is better to use Bluetooth by combining it with a portable speaker for example.

Image quality is necessarily limited with HD Ready resolution (1280 x 720 pixels). The brightness will be correct if you immerse the room in the dark, with 250 lumens delivered by an LED . It has a lifespan of 30,000 hours , without any lamp needing to be changed. The technology used is DLP .

The LG CineBeam PH30N is capable of displaying an image of 100 "diagonal , or 2.5 meters. If we compare even if only an 85" television, the ease of use is beyond measure. The quality is not equivalent of course, but for users who would be ready to accept the compromise, this micro projector at less than $ 450 allows the TV to disappear from the living room. Some will greatly appreciate it.
