LG recalls 60,000 OLED TVs due to overheating - Model List

July 21 news LG Electronics said that due to possible overheating issues, the company is recalling about 60,000 OLED TVs sold in South Korea to replace its power boards. It is reported that the retrieval will affect 18 different models of OLED TVs sold from February 2016 to September 2019.

LG said that some of its components have experienced performance degradation, which then caused the current of the power board to increase, which may lead to overheating. At present, LG has exchanged components for 22,000 of the 60,000 affected devices . LG said: "The overheating problem only occurs in a very small number of models of all models that use this component, but for the safety of customers, we will provide free component replacement for all models." LG said to customers.

The affected LG oled tvs are

2016 models

OLED65E6, OLED65G6 and OLED77G6;

2017 models
OLED65B7, OLED65C7, OLED65E7, OLED65G7, OLED65W7, OLED77G7 and OLED77W7.

2018 models
OLED65G8, OLED65W8, OLED77C8 and OLED77W8; 2019 The affected models are OLED65W9, OLED77B9, OLED77C9 and OLED77W9.
