Microsoft HoloLens 2 has received an update to Windows Holo21H2, which includes some important changes.
This update, version number 20348.1432, adds a new feature called Moving Platform Mode, which supports users using HoloLens 2 in ships and other environments with low dynamic motion.
In addition, this update supports the ability to configure the Microsoft App Store to only allow access to apps in the organization, thus preventing users from installing publicly available apps, which is useful for most enterprise users of HoloLens 2.
Version 21H2 also supports PFX certificate files, the ability for users to view advanced diagnostic logs directly on HoloLens 2, the ability for IT administrators to configure smart retries for application updates, and other new features.
21H2 also improves some of the UI and adds an Edge browser with a Chromium core, and users can check for updates in the HoloLens 2's Settings app.
