New streaming device Google TV may be coming

Currently, the android TV box is very obscure, and Google has been allowing other manufacturers to make their own changes to the android TV system and develop TV only products. To that end, Google released a new streaming device for developers called adt-3 in late 2019, along with android TV 10.0. In addition, insiders say Google is working on a new streaming device that could be called Google TV.

The upcoming version of Android TV is likely to feature significant improvements in the user interface, lower hardware requirements and more emphasis on movies and shows rather than apps. The content-centric approach is meant to ensure that rumored streaming devices can withstand competition from the likes of amazon Fire Stick and Roku. Several sources in the agreement confirmed the changes, with one saying the new device could be launched under the Nest brand, which is also owned by Google.

According to Protocol, Google is considering the exact brand of an upcoming Android TV device(Google TV)and is likely to be added to the Nest portfolio. At the same time, 9to5Google came up with the idea that Google would remove the Android brand from Android TV and rename it Google TV. This is supported by a similar name change, and many other services such as Android Pay (now Google Pay), Android Wear (now Wear OS), and Android Messages (now Messages) have passed.

While Google I/O 2020 May be the perfect platform to introduce the claimed product, the conference had to be cancelled due to covid-19. Google will be hosting an online event in June to announce Android 11 Beta 1, rather than on the ground. But we can't say for sure if it will be announced at that time. While it's natural to connect the TV remote control from the FCC in March to the device, the remote may be another piece of telecom hardware (possibly a video conferencing device) that Google is building.
