Next-Generation Nintendo Switch: 8-inch LCD Screen, 512GB Storage

In the latest episode of the podcast by insider "Hate the Nate," more specifications about the next-generation Nintendo Switch handheld gaming console were revealed.

According to "Hate the Nate," the new console will feature an 8-inch LCD screen, a significant size upgrade compared to the standard model's 6.2-inch screen, and considered more appropriate in size than the 7-inch OLED screen version.

In terms of storage, the insider disclosed that the maximum capacity of the next-generation Switch will be 512GB, a substantial improvement compared to the current standard version with 32GB and the OLED version with 64GB.

As for the release date, the insider mentioned that the next-generation Switch will officially launch sometime in late 2024, between September and early October. Additionally, there is a possibility of a new 3D Super Mario game being released alongside it.

Previous leaks indicated that the next-generation Switch gaming console will be powered by a customized Nvidia Tegra T239 processor, offering multiple CPU and GPU configuration options with varying clock frequencies, allowing developers to choose the appropriate configuration for their games.

The peak power output of the next-generation Switch when plugged in will be 28.6W, while in portable mode, it will be 11W.

Regarding the screen, the next-generation Switch will be equipped with a 720P display and support 24gbps HDMI 2.1. However, it will not support a 120Hz refresh rate but will support 10-bit HDR and 4K60 output.

In terms of storage, the next-generation Switch will have 8GB of RAM and come with faster 64GB eMMC storage, with the highest configuration supporting UHS-II 256GB storage. The read and write speeds will be similar to the Samsung S22, with a read speed of 550mbps and a write speed of 480mbps.

The custom Tegra T239 chip used in the next-generation Switch will be fully backward compatible. Additionally, it will feature an Ampere-based GPU, enabling ray tracing and Nvidia's DLSS.

Regarding battery life, the next-generation Switch is rumored to provide 3-6 hours of battery life.
