TP Vision (Philips Europe) has a wide range of OLED and LCD TV models with 4K resolution, HDR, dolby Vision, dolby panoramic sound, android system, and of course, streamer. The 2020 OLED model will be the first to use the company's "AI" processor. Now we bring you an overview of Philips 2020 TV.
Philips 2020 TV
TP Vision announced in January that it would revive the Philips TV brand in Europe and that 2020 would be a banner year. It explains that once viewers try to use streamer, most will stick with it and buy a new Philips TV when the time is right. All models of the PUS7805 and later will feature three streamers, with even more likely to be released later this year.
In recent years, the mood lighting system has gained new functions. In addition to the dynamic lighting effect, it can be configured to project static white light (polarized light) onto the wall behind the TV. In addition, streamlight can be expanded with Philips Hue and is compatible with Spotify and game modes. The company hinted that it might even launch a pre-buy trial later this year, though it didn't provide details.
OLED technology has become another major driver of Philips' re-emergence in Europe, with the company also announcing new 8-series OLED TVS (OLED805, OLED855, OLED865) using Philips' first "AI" video processor. The processor USES machine learning and neural network analysis to enhance image parameters such as clarity, color and brightness. You can learn more in this video, which also covers plans for 8K TVS (Philips has not yet launched).
The new 8-series OLED TVS in 2020 will be available in 55 - and 65-inch models, but the company added that it will offer larger or smaller (48-inch) OLED TVS in the future.
Besides, Philips Europe remains an ally and partner of Google, even though it has switched from Android TV to its own linux-based Saphi platform on some cheaper models.
This year, Android 9 will be pre-installed on Philips Android TV, and the company will provide updates on Android 10 and the Google Stadia program later this year.
As part of Android TV, users can access the Google Play store, where you can download tv-optimized apps and games, including all the usual video apps like Netflix, Amazon, HBO, and more. It also has built-in Chromecast and support for Google Assistant. Disney + launched in Europe in March and is already supported on Philips Android TV. On the other hand, Apple TV + isn't currently available on Android TV.
