The so many Community Day of May 2020 is coming to Pokémon GO ! Everything will happen this Sunday, May 24 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This time, the Pokémon in the spotlight is none other than Grainipiot , which evolves into Tengalice , a Pokémon little used because quite rare but not too bad in PVP in the Super and Hyper Leagues. Without further ado, here are our tips for getting the most out of it. You have the Star Dust and the Tengalice Shiny!

Pokémon GO, Community Day Grainipiot, Tengalice: complete event guide

ALL BONUSES ACTIVE DURING COMMUNITY DAY

  • The incense will last 3 hours , so it will be super profitable to play while staying at home!
  • Also in the context of the health crisis, be aware that Pokemon Buddies with a level of friendship "Great Buddy" or higher will bring back useful items.
  • The XP is multiplied by 3, on the way to the future level 50!
  • Massive appearance of Grainipiot, some of which will be Shiny (1 of 23)! The Shiny looks pretty much like the normal version, so watch out for the stars!
  • Developing a Grainipiot in Pifeuil then in Tengalice between 11h and 19h allows you to gain an exclusive attack : Seed Ball. It's an attack that takes Tengalice from mediocre Pokémon to decent Pokémon, but nothing crazy either.
  • In the shop , you will find a special box and a special study for 1 euro. These are nice little additions for people who put a few coins in the game from time to time.
BEFORE THE EVENT: STORAGE, BAG AND FRIENDS
If it is possible for you, take a little time before the start of the event to properly prepare for it . Even if the event lasts all day, you are going to need a lot of resources if you participate while staying at home.

Start by freeing up your Pokémon storage space . Keep at least 200 places , so you don't have to worry about it. Nothing is more frustrating than being braked because of saturated storage…

Also prepare your bag . You will need approximately 100 Nanana berries and 200 Super Balls . Also think about having a few Framby berries in case you meet a Shiny and obviously a maximum of Pokéballs (the Hyper Balls might be a bit spoiled if you use a lot here). Obviously remember to have at least one incense . You can plan 2 but we do not necessarily advise you to play 6 hours for Grainipiot. Using one or more well timed Lucky Eggs may be a good idea! To optimize them to the maximum, plan some harvests at the end of quests, hatchings or other actions that bring in experience points.

Usually, we advise you to play in places full of PokéStops and to call your friends. Given the current conditions and the active bonuses, we strongly advise you to stay quietly at home for this time! And if you decide to stay at home, it can be useful to have some gifts ready to be opened in reserve to boost your stocks.

DURING THE EVENT: QUICK CAPTURE

There is one trick you must know to optimize your time: quick capture . Some quick capture techniques have been patched, but not this one! Here is a short tutorial:

  • Launch your bay and select your Ball normally.
  • If you are right-handed, put your left index finger on the Balls icon and, leaving it pressed on the screen, drag it to the left side of your phone. If you are left-handed, perform the same maneuver by reversing your hand and starting from the Berries icon.
  • With your dominant hand, throw your Ball.
  • Once the Pokémon has entered the Ball, before the capture animation starts, release your weak hand from the screen and press again on your touch screen .
  • A button appears in the upper left corner , press it. You have left the fight and the Pokémon is captured.
Chain your catches under Luck Egg, Incense and possibly Piece of Star !

AFTER THE EVENT: SORTING, EXCHANGES AND DEVELOPMENTS

We said earlier, after the event, you have two hours to get Tengalice with his exclusive attack. You will have to optimize your time over this short period.

The first thing to do is to spot your best Grainipiot . One of the latest updates has provided a very convenient way to sort and calculate your IVs. What we advise you to do is to classify your Pokémon by PC and then type in the search bar the command Grainipiot &! 3 * & 4 * . Your best specimens are all here.

Once the best Grainipiot have been spotted, exchange ideas . Make a maximum of it until about 6.30 p.m. Your goal is to get Lucky Grainipiot . Again, we have written a comprehensive guide to Lucky Friends that you can rely on. '' '

Between 6.30 p.m. and 7 p.m., make all your changes . Your goal is to recover Tengalice with beautiful IVs, beautiful PCs, beautiful color and an exclusive attack! That being said, don't forget that Tengalice is not a brilliant Pokémon , even with its exclusive attack. It may not be worth it to invest too many resources on it. A good Shiny will be a nice currency and a funny option in PVP, but nothing more.
