Quick Guide: How to set up and use Amazon Fire TV?

Amazon released its latest media streaming device, namely Amazon Fire TV with 4K Ultra HD. The predecessor of this device includes the first two generations of Fire TV and Amazon Fire Stick. The device improves these devices in many ways, especially in terms of streaming video quality, the number of available applications, and viewing options. To set it up, please follow the instructions below.

Connect to Amazon Fire TV

Amazon Fire TV comes with three parts required for connection. There is a USB cable, square (or diamond) Fire TV device and power adapter. They are only connected in one way, and there are directions in the box. The USB cable is in the middle. If these directions are not clear, connect the power adapter to the Fire TV. After completing these connections:

  • Plug the power adapter into a nearby outlet or power strip on Amazon Fire TV.
  • Run the Amazon Fire TV USB cable behind the TV to connect the Fire TV to the available HDMI port on it.
  • Turn on the TV and Amazon Fire TV.
  • Use the signal source button on the TV's remote control to locate the HDMI signal of the Fire TV.
  • Note: If you are using HDMI ports on all TVs, please remove an existing device to make room for new media streaming media. If your device is compatible with USB and HDMI, you can move it to an open USB port. If not, the USB to HDMI converter may be suitable for DVD players and similar devices. Connect the Fire Stick directly to the TV.
