Red Dead Redemption 2 walkthrough: How to find the camera right for you?

Like all the other open world games signed Rockstar Games Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game that is played with a camera in the third person, behind your character, here Arthur Morgan. But this view can be changed by pressing a single key (the touchpad on PS4) to be more or less distant from the avatar. You can even switch to first-person view, through the eyes of Arthur Morgan. Each view has its pros and cons: in FPS viewyou will gain immersion and precision during the shootings but your field of vision will be more limited.

The wider view allows you to better understand what is happening in the decor but this overload of details can hinder the action. Try each view to find the one that works best for you, knowing that you can switch between them at any time depending on the situation. The FPS view can be customized in the “parameters” menu of the pause screen. You can change the viewing angle but also suppress the movements, for those who are sensitive to it, when moving, adjust the portion of horse visible when you ride.

It is important to know that there is also a so-called “Cinema” view, accessible by leaving the view change button pressed (touchpad on PS4). This view adds Cinemascope bands but it also allows the autopilot to be used for long trips. If you find the round trips too long it is a good way to make them more pleasant.
