In February 2018, Deep Rock Galactic breathed fresh air into the landscape of cooperative shooting games by offering four dwarfs to fill the excavations, while ridding huge caves of the minerals and creatures that inhabit them. Two years later, and after around thirty major updates expanding its content month after month, the shooter for Ghost Ship Games and Coffee Stain is finally coming to the surface in version 1.0. Neither one nor two, we put on our boots and take our best pick, because it's time to go back to the coal to try it all out.

Deep Rock Galactic has certainly been well coated since its first publication two years ago but its principle has obviously remained the same: four players embodying bearded and armed dwarfs, who must descend to the bottom of a procedurally generated mine to accomplish various objectives, ranging from the simple harvesting of minerals to the collection of extraterrestrial eggs or the elimination of bosses.

Going down is one thing, but it's when you have to go back to the extraction capsule that things get complicated. It is generally there that waves of alien spiders and flying quirks will land to bite our shins or spit acid in our faces. Equipped and armed to the teeth, the four dwarfs must therefore be sure to communicate and stick together to return to the fold in one piece, and with their pockets filled. DRG is an FPS that we can certainly browse alone, but which is above all thought for cooperation .
